Sunday, February 10 takes place in the plaza of San Quirico di Verniola reenactment of
polenta festival, better known as "Festival of Misery."
The event, one of the oldest talia is in its 432nd edition and remember the generosity of Bardi accounts which, with the region hungry extortionists and the English imperial troops, distributed to the people chestnut polenta, herring and cod.
During the festival starting at 9:30 the parade included the historical group of accounts Bardi followed by the most famous historical groups Tuscany, ladies, musicians, soldiers, by delegations from the three towns twinned with Verna and Gonfaloni citizens.
